Soundbites: Lincoln MKZ
Earlier today at the New York Auto show press review, the introduction of the Lincoln MKZ marked a significant mile stone and the reinvention of Lincoln. Kate Pearce, Lincoln Marketing Manager said this reinvention will take Luxury in an automobile to a whole new level consumers will see and feel in the 2013 all-new Lincoln MKZ.

“The first that you going to notice when you see the new MKZ is Lincoln’s new design direction starting off with the gorgeous interpretation of the new split-wing grill. But you’ll also going to see innovative features like a fully retractable panoramic glass roof, push-button shifters, and even the next generation of our Lincoln drive control, a suspension that continuously adapts to conditions on the road to providing you with the ultimate drive experience.”:26 sec. |
| According to Pearce, the MKZ looks like nothing else on the road. From really sleek and intriguing rooflines to full use of LED lamps in the headlamps and the tail lamps. Plus it also has distinctive technologies and features that our competition won’t have. | |

“The retractable glass roof will be an option for consumers who want to experience more light and airiness into the car. And to really give their passengers both back and front seat, a feeling of open air and a view to the sky.” :13 sec. |
| Not only has the exterior of the MKZ been completely redesigned, so has the interior. The attention to detail, the luxurious materials in the leather, and environmentally sustainable woods throughout the car will provide a new unique look and feel, says Pearce. | |

“When you get in the car the clean lines, the sense of open airiness that’s provided by the glass roof. Even down to smaller components , like the push-button shift. It’s allowing us to take the clutter away from the center console and place it up into the dash. You’ll feel like you’re in a space that is open that is inviting, that is warm, but most importantly, very luxurious.” :24 sec. |

“In addition to standard technologies like side and front airbags, The MKZ will be the first vehicle in its segment to offer second row, inflatable rear seatbelts. Pearce talked about the three-new powertrains for this vehicle for the new MKZ. The first being our 2-liter EcoBoost engine that will be available as the standard engine giving the vehicle 240 horsepower standard with excellent fuel economy. The MKZ will also offer a 3.7 TIVCT engine which is part of the Lincoln lineup, providing 300 horsepower. |

“ But the crowning glory is really that Hybrid. Introducing an all-new 2 liter hybrid that will be coming into our showroom. We expect that that Hybrid will continue MKZ’s leadership as the most fuel efficient luxury sedan in the premium segment.” :14 sec. |
