Soundbites: Lincoln MKC Concept

Earlier today, The Lincoln Motor Company introduced the MKC Concept, a vision of how Lincoln will enter the industry's fastest-growing small luxury utility segment. Murat Gueler (Mah-rot) (Geller), exterior design manager describes the Lincoln concept.

Cut #1:	"To best describe it, would be that it's a very dynamic looking vehicle. So crossover cars tend to be a little more utilitarian and boxy looking and I think we set ourselves apart with our concept car here by being very stylish, elegant and flowing." :17 sec.
	With nearly 60 percent growth in 2012 and more than 200 percent in the last four years, the small luxury utility segment growth has far eclipsed all other luxury segments. According to Gueler, at first glance it may look very simple, but as you approach it, you see this level of sophistication and craftsmanship that makes the MKC one of a kind.
Cut #2:	"For example, if you look at the body side of this car there is actually only one line that connects headlamp and tail lamp, but then as you approach it closer, you'll see the two muscles and the shoulder on the rear especially how it's modeled by a craftsman clay modeler, and you'll really appreciate that this person spent the best part of a couple of weeks to make this the most beautiful, most sophisticated surface that there can be." :25 sec.
	According to Gueler, the Lincoln MKC Concept has an unmistakable stance and was not designed for any specific audience segment, but for anyone and everyone who wants and appreciates elegance and style.
Cut #3:	"We're just out there to design the best looking car and communicate our brand values in our DNA. So wherever you are in the world you should be able to recognize this as a Lincoln." :10 sec.
	Gueler says the front of this Lincoln crossover concept resembles the Lincoln split-wing grill, but it has a different detail in its execution.
Cut #4:	"There is a lot of detail again in the execution of the grill, the grill bars as they are designed each individually, the whole execution of the lower bumper, the forms that are playing there, is a very, very rich looking vehicle." :14 sec.
	The Lincoln MKC Concept has an uninterrupted, highly crafted rear-view appearance which contributes to this cars DNA.
Cut #5:	"We have a full-width Lincoln tail lamp as well that's also quite unique and also a signature for this vehicle and you're going to be able to tell this car apart from any other car from a couple of hundred feet because we have uninterrupted Lincoln signature lighting in the back." :13 sec.
	The Lincoln MKC Concept will make its global debut at the 2013 North American International Auto Show Monday, January 14th.
