  • For the first time, Lincoln Motor Company will have an official presence at Barrett-Jackson Auction Company’s Palm Beach, Fla., event this spring
  • Lincoln’s all-new 2015 MKC and significantly refreshed 2015 Navigator, both on sale later this year, will be on display
  • Full 2014 Lincoln lineup will be available for driving experiences at South Florida Fairgrounds

Lincoln Motor Company will debut the all-new 2015 MKC and significantly refreshed 2015 Navigator utilities in South Florida at Barrett-Jackson Auction Company’s Palm Beach sale April 11-13.

This is the first time in the company’s 96-year history Lincoln will officially participate in the auction at South Florida Fairgrounds. Lincoln’s presence includes exclusive driving experiences for attendees in its full 2014 lineup of vehicles, while also showcasing the brand’s newest SUVs.

“We’re pleased to add the luxury of Lincoln to the Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach event,” said Matt VanDyke, director, global Lincoln. “We’re especially excited to showcase our all-new Lincoln MKC small premium utility and significantly refreshed Navigator to the public in South Florida.”

Debuting nationwide this summer, Lincoln MKC will arrive with an available 285-horsepower turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine and Lincoln’s standard push-button gear shift controlling the automatic transmission. Other available features include park out assist, Vista Roof®, 19-inch wheels, voice-activated navigation and a hands-free wraparound liftgate. Available Lincoln-exclusive Deepsoft Bridge of Weir leather highlights the premium materials.

MKC also introduces Approach Detection, which senses when an owner is near and responds by illuminating “welcome mats” on the ground next to both front doors. Headlamps, taillamps and door handles also glow with soft lighting tuned to complement the vehicle’s exterior color.

The 2015 Navigator sports significant upgrades from the current-generation model, while reintroducing Lincoln’s iconic split-wing grille. A new 3.5-liter, twin-turbocharged EcoBoost engine will deliver more power (at least 370 horsepower and 430 lb.-ft. of torque based on early testing).

Available Lincoln Drive Control with continuously controlled damping provides a smoother ride, electric power-assisted steering improves handling, and puddle lamps create a “welcome mat” below the front doors. Combined, they offer a new level of elegance for the classic eight-passenger SUV.

The Reserve Package elevates the Navigator offering yet again through such luxuries as 22-inch polished aluminum wheels; chrome-accented running boards; a hand-wrapped leather instrument panel with contrast stitching and leather glove box door; and premium Ziricote wood trim, which is a natural-grain wood new to the automotive industry, most commonly used as an accent in yachts.

One of the hottest vehicles available for test drives is the stunning MKZ midsize premium sedan, along with the MKZ Hybrid.

Auction attendees also can drive the MKX midsize premium utility, MKS full-size premium sedan, MKT seven-passenger premium crossover and current Navigator.
