Der Ford GT Supersportwagen ist in den USA demnächst auch als besonders exklusive „Carbon“-Version bestellbar – sie ist 18 Kilogramm leichter als die „konventionelle“ GT-Strassenversion. Damit ist der „Carbon“ – das nunmehr dritte Ford GT-Sondermodell – der leichteste Ford GT aller Zeiten und verfügt über mehr Carbon-/Kohlefaser-Elemente als jedes vorherige GT-Modell.
