Dr Anna Lena Strigel was appointed manager of Ford Model e in Germany in October 2022, a role she fulfils in addition to being director, Sales and Brand Management, Model e, at Ford Europe. As manager of Model e in Germany, she leads a business unit responsible for the electrification of Ford's passenger vehicle fleet, as well as the development of innovative technologies for connected vehicles and services.
Strigel reports to Martin Sander, Chairman of the Management Board of Ford Germany, and General Manager, Model e, for Ford Europe.
An experienced strategist with strong international background, Strigel joins Ford from McKinsey and Company after having served over 20 years in Europe, Australia and South Africa. She most recently was Associate Partner in the EMEA Automotive and Assembly sector. In that role, she took senior leadership of client engagements with a focus on Strategy and Operations transformations.
While at McKinsey, Strigel served in a number of capacities, including in New Ventures Alliances and Acquisitions, based in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she helped shape and implement McKinsey's inorganic initiatives. She also worked for two years in McKinsey’s Sydney office leading client work in Asia Pacific in the automotive, metals and mining sectors.
Born in Germany, Strigel graduated from WHU Koblenz, Otto-Beisheim-School of Management with a Graduate degree in Business Administration and Economics. She also received Doctor of Business Administration from RWTH Aachen. She is married with three children.
