Cathy O’Callaghan became president and CEO of Ford Credit in February 2024. In this role, O’Callaghan is leading Ford’s financial services company through a modernization that will transform the way the company serves customers and dealers around the world. She reports to Ford CFO John Lawler.
O’Callaghan has served as a leader in the industry for more than 30 years, working around the world for Ford Motor Company. She previously was vice president, controller and chief accounting officer for Ford, a role in which she led a significant change to the company’s financial reporting based on new business segments: Ford Pro, Model e and Ford Blue.
O’Callaghan became corporate controller and chief accounting officer after serving as CFO of Ford South America, helping guide the company’s strategy in a challenging industry. Prior to that, she held key leadership positions in Ford of Europe, including finance director for Product Development; controller of European Manufacturing Operations & Logistics; finance director of Ford of Britain; and finance director of Ford Switzerland.
A native of Wales, O’Callaghan joined Ford in 1990. She has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Reading and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
