Doug Power was named vice president, Corporate Development, in June 2021. In this role, Power and his team are responsible for identifying and executing strategic, high-impact acquisition, investment and partnership transactions with companies with technology, capabilities, talent and expertise to advance the Ford+ plan for growth and value creation. He reports to David McClelland, Vice President, Strategy and Partnerships.
Power has 25 years of experience and accomplishments in strategy and M&A leadership roles in a variety of industries. Prior to Ford, Power spent 10 years with General Mills, the global consumer packaged food company, most recently as the Vice President and Global Head of M&A and Corporate Strategy. At General Mills, Doug originated and executed the company’s largest public-company acquisition, the $8 billion purchase of Blue Buffalo Pet Products in 2018.
Power serves on the board of directors of Rahr Corporation, a family-owned, industry-leading malted barley producer and distributor. He earned a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Michigan.
