Tim is Vice President of Product Programs, a global US-based Ford role he was appointed to in June 2023. Before that he was chair of Ford Motor Company Ltd in the UK and vehicle programme director, Global Bus and Van Commercial Vehicles, responsible for the development and implementation on Ford’s direction and strategy in its UK operations, and for the development of Ford’s future, global light commercial vehicle portfolio.

Prior to this position, Slatter was executive director, Product Development at Ford Motor Company China from 2011 to 2022. He has held a number of senior posts in the region including vice president, Product Development, at Jiangling Motors Corporation, Ford’s joint venture in China, and various leadership roles in Powertrain development and engineering

A graduate of mechanical engineering from Coventry University’s Automotive Engineering school, Slatter joined Ford in 1998 as a powertrain engineer. Slatter is married with three children and enjoys cycling and walking.
