Dr. Christian Weingärtner will be General Manager, Passenger Vehicles, Ford Europe, starting in February 2026.

He most recently served as Vice President, Business Transformation, in Europe, where he was a key architect of the European future strategy and key partnership projects.

Since January 1^st, 2022, Weingärtner has held the position of Managing Director for Ford Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as the position of Managing Director Marketing and Sales at Ford-Werke GmbH since February 1^st, 2022. Weingärtner was Managing Director & Partner at the Boston Consulting Group before taking on the position of Director Strategy, Autonomous Vehicles & Mobility at Ford Europe in 2020.

Weingärtner studied technology and management-oriented business administration at the Technical University of Munich. He holds a diploma in technology and management and a doctorate in economics. Weingärtner was born in Landshut in 1982, and lives in Munich with his partner and daughter.
