OAKVILLE, ON, February 3, 2025 – Ford of Canada is making a promise – the Ford Power Promise™.

The new Ford Power Promise is a comprehensive electric vehicle program that provides customers convenience, peace of mind, and access to advisors.  The Ford Power Promise supports electric vehicle owners in the areas that matter most to them.  Promotions and programs include:

  • Easy access to home charging solutions, such as a limited-time offer of a complimentary home charger and standard installation1 (or an option to purchase a discounted home charger and standard installation bundle for Quebec residents2) with the purchase or lease of an eligible new Ford Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, or E-Transit electric vehicle.
  • 24/7 live support, including charging support3.
  • On-the-road charging with the BlueOval™ Charge Network, so owners can charge when they’re not at home.
  • Battery confidence with an 8-year/160,000-km high-voltage battery limited warranty.

“We want customers across Canada to feel confident they can choose the Ford vehicle they want to drive and the powertrain that’s right for them,” said Bev Goodman, president and CEO, Ford Canada. “The convenience of home charging helps make this possible, and we’re proud that Ford is leading the way.” For more of her perspective, click here.

Ford of Canada saw its best-ever annual sales of electric vehicles in 2024 as electric vehicle adoption continues to rise in Canada. Incredible customer demand for Ford's exciting electric vehicles led to a 66.1% increase in sales year-over-year. But customers on the fence about making the switch to an electric vehicle still have common questions about the electric vehicle ownership experience, specifically around charging, support, and battery longevity. Where do you buy the charger? Who installs it? What does it cost?

While Ford of Canada has been focused on making public charging easier – including giving Ford owners access to Tesla’s Superchargers through the BlueOval Charge Network4 – we have learned just how important home charging is to overall electric vehicle adoption in North America. Charging at home can be a significant cost save for many owners compared to filling up with gas. And with the Ford Power Promise, new electric vehicle customers who take advantage of our limited-time promotion will have help with home charging and installation.

At the same time, many electric vehicle customers want 24/7 support from a real person with expertise if they are going to try new technology. Still, others want assurance on battery life.

Ford Power Promise is designed to help answer the questions that are top of mind for potential electric vehicle customers.

Home is Where the Charge is: It’s simple. Between February 1 and March 31, 2025, buy or lease an eligible retail Ford Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, or E-Transit vehicle, and customers are eligible to receive a complimentary home charger and standard installation at their home (Quebec residents are not eligible)1. Ford’s offer helps to take the guesswork out of installation, including cost, to help customers save time and money by filling up at home, which means less stress, and more convenience. Quebec residents who purchase or lease a new Ford electric vehicle between February 1 and March 31, 2025, are eligible to purchase a Ford home charger and standard installation bundle for $2,450 plus tax (estimated retail value of $3,600), and a special finance offer2. Wherever customers are in Canada, Ford makes home charger installation easy with access to certified installers from within the RocketEV Charging Solutions Inc. national network. RocketEV, a Canadian company sharing our commitment to expanding electric vehicle adoption in Canada, has been selected as our national installation partner. Their team of experts is dedicated to creating a nationwide network of sustainable electric vehicle charging stations, aligning perfectly with our commitment to Ford electric vehicle owners.

On-the-Road Charging: Road trips don't happen every day, but when you are on the road, you need to know where to fill up. Our BlueOval™ Charge Network automatically searches for chargers across various networks, and adds charging stops to your route via the Connected Navigation in the vehicle5. With Plug and Pay, you plug in when you get there, and the payment is automatically made via your FordPass account. It's that easy.

Battery Confidence: We're confident in the quality of our batteries, and we want you to be confident, too. That's why we provide an 8-year/160,000-km high-voltage battery limited warranty6 for every Ford fully electric vehicle. Ford has your battery covered.

Ongoing Support and Guidance: We're dedicated to providing you with the support you need whenever you need it, including complimentary Roadside Assistance if your vehicle's range runs too low. We're also expanding our electric vehicle support, so you'll be talking with real people 24/77. We are here when you need us.

Electric vehicles are an excellent choice for many people. They are fun to drive, quiet and smooth on the road. They can help save you time and money on gas. And for the first time in a long time, filling up just got easier.
