Salvation Army Tops $1.2M During Bed & Bread Club Radiothon Presented by Ford Fund

The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit raised more than $1.2 million during its 31st Annual Bed & Bread Club Radiothon Presented by Ford Motor Company Fund.

Ford Fund President Jim Vella shared radiothon hosting duties with WJR’s Guy Gordon.

Ford Fund has provided five vehicles in recent years to The Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division to support the Bread & Bread program, as well as Emergency Disaster Services.

The Salvation Army’s Bed & Bread program feeds and shelters metro Detroiters every day of the year. The radiothon is the primary source of funding for the program and is the largest single-market, single day radio fundraiser in the country.
