DEARBORN, Mich., June 25, 2020 – Burt Jordan, Ford Motor Company’s vice president of Global Purchasing Operations and Supply Chain Sustainability, has announced he will retire from the company effective July 1.
Jordan previously served as Ford’s vice president, Global Vehicle and Indirect Purchasing and Supply Chain Sustainability. In that role, he was responsible for procuring body exteriors, body interiors, chassis and electrical systems around the world, along with all indirect purchasing and supplier diversity development.
Jordan’s more than 20-year purchasing career at Ford began in 1999. He was first elected to a corporate officer position in 2013, when he was named vice president, Global Vehicle and Powertrain Purchasing and Supplier Diversity. Jordan has been a driving force behind Ford's Supplier Diversity and Inclusion activities. Earlier this month, he was named the 2020 CPO of the Year by the National Minority Supplier Development Council, which recognized his impactful leadership within Ford and the larger supplier-diversity community.
Ford thanks Jordan for his significant contributions to the company and wishes him the best in his future endeavors.
