Ford Motor Company Partners with Climate Museum to Call Attention to Impacts of Climate Change Through Live Art Installation

NEW YORK (Sept 21, 2022) — Today, at the fourteenth convening of Climate Week NYC, the largest global climate event of its kind, Ford is partnering with the Climate Museum to bring in a live installation of “Someday, all this,” a mural by artist David Opdyke offering a bracing commentary on the impact of the climate crisis on the American landscape.

On Wednesday, September 21 from 10am to 3:30pm, Opdyke, assisted by Museum staff, will install a mural made of hundreds of hand-modified postcards, sharing a behind-the-scenes look at his process with visitors.

The installation will be at The Nest Summit Campus, the official event partner of Climate Week NYC, at the Javits Center on September 21.

The artwork will remain on view Thursday, September 22 from 7:30am to 3:30pm, before it moves to the Museum’s Soho pop-up on October 8.

Climate Week is held in New York City each September in conjunction with the United Nations General Assembly. Climate Week NYC 2022 will focus on “Getting It Done.”

The Climate Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit inspiring action on the climate crisis with programming across the arts and sciences that deepens understanding, builds connections, and advances just solutions. Since its first year of public programs in 2018, the Museum has created an activist, cultural approach to community engagement with climate, recognizing that most Americans are worried about the climate crisis but have remained largely silent and inactive, unsure how to take meaningful action.
