Gordon Platto is Director, Design Excellence at Ford Motor Company leveraging his extensive experience to elevate design across the organization. 

Prior to this, Platto held multiple design roles throughout Ford and Lincoln. Highlights include the Design Director for the Ford Mustang GTD, Mustang Mach1, and the Mustang Mach- E. He was the Exterior and Interior Chief Designer for the Lincoln Brand among others and has led on several concepts including the Ford Atlas, Lincoln MKR and MKC.  Platto's expertise spans into truck design and his teams have earned numerous accolades in the last decade. 

Platto earned a BFA with honors in Transportation Design from the College for Creative Studies and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration. He and his wife, Mary, have two sons and enjoy working on homes and decorating. Gordon has a 35-year collection of vintage and antique motorcycles and motorcycle memorabilia.
