Ford Australia has announced it’s taking the ultimate towing vehicle, the powerful F-150, on an epic road trip along the Queensland coast.
The "F-150 Catch of the Day Canteen" tour, running from September to November, will showcase the F-150's unparalleled capability and adventurous spirit, offering Aussies who love the outdoors a taste of the Ford lifestyle.
The heart of the tour is a custom-built "F-150 Catch of the Day Canteen”, towed by the mighty F-150 which will visit six coastal locations over seven weeks, to find the biggest catch of the day.
As part of each weekend's events, fishing participants have the opportunity to win $500 for whoever nabs the largest catch of the day. A major prize of $5000 is also up for grabs for the biggest catch of the tour.
Beginning on the Gold Coast, the tour will put anchor down in Brisbane, Hervey Bay, Airlie Beach, Townsville, before a final stop in Cairns. As part of these free public events, attendees can enjoy free fish and chips, courtesy of Ford and F-150 (available for the first 200 people and limited to 2 serves per person).
