Melbourne, Australia, December 2, 2025 – Ford Australia is proud to announce a significant expansion to the Ranger Super Duty line-up for the MY26.5 model, introducing the highly anticipated Pick-Up body style and a new premium XLT series.
Arriving in mid-2026, these updates bring greater flexibility and comfort to the Ranger Super Duty, combining its class-leading 4500kg towing capacity1, 4500kg GVM2, and 8000kg GCM2, with the utility of a factory tub and the refinement required for long-distance touring.
“The Ranger Super Duty was born from a direct need to do more for our customers, and the reaction since our initial announcement has been extraordinary,” said Andrew Birkic, President and CEO, Ford Australia.
“By introducing the Pick-Up body style and the XLT series, we’re taking that massive towing and hauling capability of Ranger Super Duty and making it even more versatile for Australian drivers.
“We know that for many customers – especially those touring our great, vast nation – comfort is just as important as capability. The XLT grade, combined with the flexibility of a factory-fitted tub or cab-chassis, opens up the Super Duty to recreational users who want a vehicle that can tow just about anything, anywhere, without sacrificing the refinement needed for long-distance touring.
“The Ranger Super Duty has already captured the imagination of Australians who need serious capability. With the arrival of the Pick-Up body style and the XLT series, we’re making that capability even more accessible for everyday life.”
Ranger Super Duty Pick-Up: Ready for Work and Play
For the first time, the Ranger Super Duty will be available in a Pick-Up body style. This addition offers customers the same heavy-duty capability as the cab-chassis variants but with the added versatility of a factory-fitted tub, making it an ideal solution for both retail customers and fleet operators.
Crucially, the Pick-Up body style retains the core heavy-duty specifications that define the Super Duty badge:
The Pick-Up variant will also feature the existing Ranger Super Duty’s widened track width of 1710mm, and 850mm wading depth5, ensuring it remains capable in the toughest Australian conditions.
“This is the truck for the customer who needs to tow a heavy work trailer or carry a massive payload during the week, but wants to load up the tub and head off-road with the family on the weekend,” said Ambrose Henderson, Marketing Director, Ford Australia.
“It effectively bridges the gap between a dedicated workhorse and a premium touring vehicle, giving owners the freedom to work hard and play harder without compromise.”
More details around weights and dimensions (including payload and ground clearance) for Ranger Super Duty Pick-Up and XLT models will be available closer to arrival.
Introducing the Ranger Super Duty XLT
The MY26.5 Ranger Super Duty update also heralds the arrival of the XLT series to the range. Available on Double Cab Cab-Chassis and Double Cab Pick-Up variants, the XLT is designed for customers who demand rugged durability without compromising on comfort.
Tailored for recreational off-roaders and extended touring, the XLT series adds premium features including:
The three new additions to the Ranger Super Duty line-up will be offered with the following Manufacturer’s List Price3:
Existing Ranger Super Duty Single Cab Cab-Chassis, Super Cab Cab-Chassis, and Double Cab Cab-Chassis pricing remains unchanged.
Further detail on XLT specifications will be made available closer to arrivals.
