Elaine Bannon

As chief engineer, Elaine Bannon leads the engineering team reimagining and elevating the Lincoln Navigator full-size luxury SUV.

“The Lincoln Navigator is truly an iconic vehicle for the brand,” said Bannon. “Navigator introduced the world to the full-size luxury SUV and defined that segment. Bringing Navigator forward has been thrilling, challenging and an honor.”

The next Lincoln Navigator is dramatically updated throughout. The exterior has been updated to reflect the new Lincoln design language while the execution of the “jewelry,” including LED front and rear lighting, multi-finish grille, the Lincoln Star and the way Lincoln is spelled out across the tailgate, enhances Navigator’s commanding presence on the road and in the showroom.

Luxurious interior appointments and an array of customer-focused technology not previously offered on Navigator reward the driver. A new, more powerful 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost® engine, available Lincoln Drive Control with continuously controlled damping suspension and a new Reserve Package with 22-inch wheels and more leather, including a leather-wrapped instrument panel, round out the 2015 Lincoln Navigator.

Bannon’s role was key as Ford and Lincoln diverged paths. She also serves as chief engineer for the Lincoln MKX midsize premium crossover and for the Lincoln MKT full-size premium crossover. So her dedication and expertise play an essential role in Lincoln’s reinvention.

She holds two degrees from the University of Michigan – a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and an MBA.

In addition to her leadership role with Lincoln, Bannon stays active through circuit training, jogging and cycling – which helps her keep up with her young son and their two dogs.
