Patrick Smith, North America Segment Chief, is responsible for leveraging customer insight and design thinking to deliver distinctive products and experiences, build the brand and drive top-line growth and margin expansion for the Lincoln business in North America.
Prior to this role, Smith was the chief engineer for the Lincoln Corsair, responsible for all aspects of the brand’s best-selling SUV. He also oversaw the launch of the all-new Corsair Grand Touring, the second plug-in hybrid option from Lincoln following the launch of the all-new Aviator Grand Touring.
Prior to joining the Lincoln team, Smith has extensive experience throughout the company working in diverse roles, including holding several positions in purchasing, planning and program management. He worked on future battery electric vehicles for one year and served as program manager for Ford Mustang for four years.
Smith, a native of Colorado, earned a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, starting at Ford Motor Company after graduating in 1998.
