From the luxurious materials that will dress its cabin to the sound-deadening features that will provide a quieter ride, the all-new 2015 Lincoln MKC delivers the luxury-car experience Lincoln drivers have come to expect.

In its new small premium utility vehicle, the Lincoln Motor Company put emphasis on creating a luxuriously appointed vehicle that limits unwanted road noise, and to offering ultra-luxurious – and in some cases, Lincoln-exclusive – leathers in the interior.  

“We’re committed to creating the highly crafted vehicles that Lincoln customers expect,” said Matt VanDyke, Director, Global Lincoln. “MKZ being named a J.D. Power and Associates APEAL winner is a reflection of that commitment, and we’re furthering it with MKC.”

MKC introduces Deepsoft leather, a refreshed stance on one of the brand’s most storied luxury-car features –Bridge of Weir Fine Scottish Leather seating surfaces. The all-natural, unique-to-Lincoln seat covering will be introduced this summer in MKC and is slated to appear in other Lincoln vehicles in the future.

In addition, MKC will introduce the all-new Lincoln steering wheel. Featuring a thicker rim that provides a sportier feel, the Lincoln steering wheel is wrapped in soft Wollsdorf leather and hand-sewn with Euro stitching to heighten the luxury-car driving experience.

The interior of MKC will also include luxury cues such as real-wood trim and French stitching on the instrument panel and seating surfaces.

“We gave attention to every detail to convey a stylish, luxurious vehicle,” said Soo Kang, Lincoln interior design chief. “The structure of the interior allows for openness, and that space contributes to the overall ambience. We want this vehicle to not only meet but exceed the expectations of the new Lincoln customer.”  

Lincoln also ramped up efforts to provide a quieter ride for passengers, and accomplished it with the inclusion of acoustic laminate glass, felted wheel wells and active noise cancellation. Each of those details contribute to reducing MKC’s noise, vibration and harshness rating, shielding passengers from sounds of the road and providing a luxury-car driving experience.

MKC is being manufactured at the Louisville Assembly Plant in Louisville, Ky. Vehicle assembly is scheduled to begin this spring, and will begin appearing in showrooms this summer.
