SAN ANTONIO, Texas, Oct. 13, 2014 – The all-new 2015 Lincoln MKC, which went on sale this spring, was named the Crossover Utility Vehicle of Texas by the Texas Auto Writers Association at its annual Truck Rodeo.
The 2015 Lincoln MKC also was named Luxury Crossover Vehicle by TAWA.
“We are delighted that the Texas Auto Writers Association recognized the all-new 2015 Lincoln MKC as the best in two categories among an outstanding group of competitors,” said Kumar Galhotra, president of Lincoln. “In particular, to be named Crossover Utility Vehicle of Texas is a tremendous honor.”
The 2015 Lincoln MKC seamlessly blends performance, craftsmanship and technology to meet the needs of luxury buyers who want a more personal experience.
“These awards for MKC, following momentum from the all-new MKZ as the start of this latest chapter for Lincoln, demonstrate our plan is on the right track,” said Galhotra. “We’re encouraged that our latest vehicle has been recognized so soon after its debut at such an important and influential event. This great news, coupled with the recent arrival of the dramatically refreshed 2015 Lincoln Navigator, show Lincoln’s focus on delivering outstanding vehicles for the luxury customer.”
The Lincoln MKC is the second of four all-new Lincoln vehicles due by 2016. Athletically graceful exterior, premium interior
The sleek, sculpted body, high beltline and low shoulders create a sturdy, athletic presence, enhanced by a low center of gravity for responsive handling and cornering stability. At the rear, a distinctive wraparound liftgate combines form with function in a fluid design. Created by a hydroforming process, the result is a clean appearance, free of typical lines and joints, with a wide opening for easy access to the cargo area.
Throughout the cabin, available open-pore wood trim, door-panel stitching, and exclusive Bridge of Weir® Deepsoft leather-trimmed seats accentuate Lincoln MKC’s elegance and grace. Deepsoft leather is a non-embossed, chromium-free leather that undergoes a 16-hour softening process to give it a supple, natural feel.
