The Ford Pro Show: Ford returns to Hall 5 at this year’s CV Show with a brand new EV ecosystem for fleet customers

  • Ford returns to the CV Show to demonstrate its new Ford Pro business ecosystem to fleet customers
  • Launch of “Make it Visible” – a new mental health campaign specific to the construction industry, where as many as two lives are taken every day
  • New Ranger, Ranger Raptor and Tourneo Connect make their UK public debuts; Raptor pricing announced

DUNTON, UK, May 24, 2022 – The Ford Pro Show kicks off today in Hall 5 at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham, with a full display of connected vehicles benefitting from Ford’s free-of-charge back-up ecosystem.

Ford Pro is a new global business dedicated to delivering solutions to commercial customers of all sizes to accelerate their productivity, now launched in the UK and across Europe.

By combining software, charging, service and financing for commercial vehicles, Ford Pro is a first-of-its-kind venture in the commercial vehicle sector, providing fully integrated, digital-first solutions to simplify fleet management, whether they run diesel- and petrol-powered vehicles, or even non-Ford vehicles, as they transition to all-electric models.

The new E-Transit – the latest tool to access this full suite of Ford Pro products - will be on display, including a DPD-liveried example. Ford has agreed a deal to supply the parcel delivery firm with 1,000 E-Transit vans this year, and the vans will operate from depots right across the UK network, when the first vehicles are delivered in May.

Olly Craughan, Head of Sustainability, DPD Group UK commented: “Getting our hands on the electric Ford Transit feels like a really big moment. 3.5-tonne vans are the workhorse of any delivery fleet, and we are no different. We need the main commercial van manufacturers to step up with affordable models and largescale production of right-hand drive vans to really get the EV revolution going in the UK. And Ford has done just that.  The E-Transit is well priced, has a good range and comes with all the support you would expect from Ford.”

Make it Visible

Ford has teamed up with the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity at this year’s show to “Make it Visible” – a new high-visibility mental health campaign using higher-viz safety vests to grab attention and point people in the direction of help when needed.

As many as two construction workers are lost to suicide every day, according to the Office for National Statistics, and despite extensive physical safety measures taken to protect on-site workers, additional support is required for their mental wellbeing.

These higher-viz vests and highly distinguishable vans will provide real support on the ground, transporting Mental Health First Aiders to the sites and workers around the country, with the aim of making it the go-to beacon on the street. The fully liveried van will be on the Ford stand in Hall 5.

In addition to the new E-Transit, the new Ford Ranger and Ranger Raptor will be on the Show stand, alongside the new Tourneo Connect – all making their UK public debut at the NEC. The Ranger Raptor is now on sale, priced from £57,340, including VAT. A variety of converted vehicles from Ford’s Qualified Vehicle Modifier programme will also be displayed, including MS-RT, VFS, Clarkes and Paneltex.
