Results from a recent Ford survey of 5,000 drivers across Europe found that 25 percent of customers feel more uncertainty and complexity when buying an electric car; one out of every 8 people find it too difficult to arrange charging at home; one third of respondents believe that electric vehicles take too long to charge; and over 30 percent of people are concerned about overall battery life. 1

Building on the company’s existing partnership with Octopus Energy – the UK’s largest energy supplier - Ford Power Promise customers will also benefit from ‘Intelligent Octopus Go’ smart energy tariff, which charges your electric vehicle for just 7p/kWh overnight, saving up to 70 percent of your energy costs compared to price cap rates. This energy tariff can automatically optimise charging to make use of cheaper off-peak electricity, and lower energy prices when the wind is blowing and the sun is shining. This means fully charging the new Puma Gen-E can cost as little as £3.23.

Ford Pro continues to offer it’s £10 home charger offer for commercial vehicle customers that includes a home charge point, standard installation, a five-year hardware warranty and 12 months’ complimentary access to Ford Pro home charging software.
